Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our amazing Bagel Bakery/Deli. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the hospitality industry, with a focus on food preparation, culinary excellence, and team management. This role requires exceptional leadership skills to ensure that our restaurant or hotel maintains the highest standards of service and quality.

Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of restaurant and bakery, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Manage food production processes, including food preparation and cooking, to deliver high-quality dishes. Supervise and train staff, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth. Implement effective inventory management practices to minimise waste and optimise food safety standards. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure the best quality ingredients are sourced. Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements to enhance guest satisfaction. Prepare reports on operational performance, including financial metrics and staff productivity. Ensure adherence to all hospitality standards, including serving protocols and cleanliness.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a supervisory role within the restaurant or hospitality industry. Strong culinary experience with a solid understanding of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production. Previous experience in hotel management or barista roles is advantageous. Exceptional organisational skills with a keen attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective interaction with staff and customers alike.
