We are entering an exciting new era at The Pheasant Inn. With a full refurbishment underway, refreshed menus, updated branding, and a renewed focus on quality hospitality, we're looking for a full-time Front of House Team Member to join us as we relaunch the pub for 2026.
The Pheasant offers a chance to combine a hospitality career with exceptional quality of life. We have an exclusive 2x bedroom cottage available which is just a stone's throw from the Pub which can be included in the package. The pub with focus on locally sourced produce, and a supportive, close-nit team, it is an ideal role for someone looking to relocate, slow the peace slightly, and be part of a pub that values great food, genuine hospitality, and a work life balance in a beautiful countryside setting.

What the role involves
Greeting guests warmly, developing relationships with guest and creating a relaxed, friendly atmosphere
Lead and supervise all aspects of restaurant and room operations, including food preparation, serving, and kitchen management
Oversee staff recruitment, training, and development to ensure a motivated and efficient team
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with legal regulations
Manage daily financial transactions, inventory control, and procurement processes
Ensure excellent customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and effectively
Coordinate with the owner and kitchen team to develop seasonal menus that meet quality standards and customer preferences
Implement marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing clientele
Monitor operational costs and optimise efficiency to maximise profitability
Foster a positive team environment that encourages collaboration and professional growth
Assisting with check-ins and guest care for our 10 letting rooms
Coordinate with cleaning team to ensure all areas of the newly refurbished pub and rooms are clean, tidy and looking great

What we are looking for
Positive, outgoing and confident with people
Takes pride in delivering great service
Hospitality experience with wine and food and proven supervising experience within the hospitality industry, ideally in restaurant or hotel management
Hardworking, reliable and a genuine team player
Someone who wants to grow with us as we develop the pub, menu and brand, potentially an assistant manager

Hours
Full-time position, including some evenings and weekends on a rota. We work hard to offer fair, balanced shift patterns and offer at least 1 weekend off per month were possible.
