We're on the lookout for an exceptional General Manager to lead the team at
Out Lane Social
- a vibrant, design-led independent restaurant with deep ties to the British food scene. This is a hands-on, full-time role based in Croston.
We're building something special - a local favourite with national-level ambition. As GM, you'll be the heartbeat of the business, overseeing daily operations, inspiring your team, and delivering an outstanding customer experience. You'll work closely with the Marketing & Events Manager and Head Chef to drive performance, shape the customer journey, and keep everything running smoothly across service, bookings, staff, and events.
Your key responsibilities:
Lead, motivate, and develop the front-of-house team to deliver a best-in-class dining experience
Oversee day-to-day operations, from opening to close, ensuring the highest standards across food, service, and cleanliness
Drive sales and manage costs, including labour control, stock ordering, and wastage
Manage rotas, recruitment, and training alongside the owners
Collaborate with the kitchen team and Head Chef to ensure seamless communication and delivery
Take full ownership of reservations and floor planning, including ResDiary and private hire/event bookings
Work closely with the marketing team to bring campaigns and events to life on the ground
Handle customer feedback and complaints with confidence and care
Ensure all health & safety, hygiene, and licensing requirements are met and adhered to
Bring fresh energy, ideas, and high standards to everything you do - from the playlist to the daily briefing
What we're looking for:
Proven experience in a senior management role in hospitality (restaurant or bar-led)
A natural leader who knows how to get the best out of people
Commercial awareness - you understand the numbers and how to improve them
A calm head, even in the busiest of services
A passion for food, drink, and local sourcing - ideally with knowledge of British produce
Someone who thrives in an independent, ever-evolving environment
A genuine love of hospitality and community - we're a small team with big heart
