Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the hospitality industry, particularly within food service, and demonstrate exceptional leadership skills. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, and delivering an outstanding dining experience for our guests. For the right candidate, live in accommodation is available.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage all aspects of restaurant operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation and service. Implement and uphold food safety regulations and hygiene standards throughout the establishment. Oversee team management, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations of staff members. Manage inventory levels and ordering processes to ensure adequate supplies while minimising waste. Foster a positive working environment that encourages teamwork and high morale among staff. Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. Monitor financial performance and assist in budgeting to achieve operational goals.

Requirements

Proven experience in a General Manager role within the restaurant or hospitality industry. Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on team management and development. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production. Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both staff and guests. A passion for hospitality with a commitment to providing an exceptional dining experience. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
