We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to oversee the daily operations of The Arts Bar. The ideal candidate will be a passionate leader with a strong background in hospitality and events management. They will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the venue, driving revenue growth, and maintaining excellent customer experiences while fostering strong relationships with artists and the local community.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the venue, including bar service, events, and staff management.
Lead, train, and motivate a team of staff to provide excellent customer service.
Manage and coordinate a diverse range of live events, ensuring smooth execution and high standards.
Develop and implement business strategies to drive revenue and profitability.
Ensure compliance with licensing, health & safety, and food & beverage regulations.
Build and maintain relationships with artists, performers, and key stakeholders.
Work closely with the marketing team to promote events and enhance brand awareness.
Oversee stock control, ordering, and supplier negotiations.
Monitor and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
Maintain a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for customers, artists, and staff.
Requirements
Proven experience as a General Manager or in a similar leadership role within the hospitality, arts, or events industry.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A passion for the arts, live music, and community engagement.
Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends.
Strong business acumen with experience in budgeting and financial management.
Knowledge of licensing laws and health & safety regulations.
Experience in marketing and social media promotion is a plus.
