General Manager

with a strong background in

Irish pubs, Irish culture, or Irish-themed hospitality

to lead this flagship venue.

The Role

As General Manager, you will oversee all day-to-day operations and be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences while driving sales, efficiency, and team development. You'll be the face of the venue -- ensuring our Irish identity, atmosphere, and service standards shine through at every level.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, train, and motivate the full team across bar, floor, and kitchen operations Maintain an authentic Irish hospitality experience consistent with our brand vision Oversee stock control, ordering, deliveries, and supplier relationships Ensure legal compliance across licensing, health & safety, hygiene, and HR processes Create a welcoming, lively environment rooted in Irish culture, music, and tradition Develop and promote events, live entertainment, themed nights, and seasonal campaigns Handle staff rotas, payroll accuracy, and performance management Drive sales through upselling, local networking, and community engagement Manage customer feedback and uphold outstanding service at all times Work collaboratively with senior management on strategy, marketing, and venue growth

Essential Requirements

Proven experience as a GM, AGM or similar leadership role in an Irish bar, Irish restaurant, or Irish-themed hospitality venue

Strong understanding of Irish culture, hospitality style, products, and customer expectations Hands-on leader with excellent communication and team-building skills Experience with budgeting, financial reporting, and cost control Confident managing high-volume service in a fast-paced environment Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities Ability to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends

Desirable

Experience implementing live music or entertainment programmes Knowledge of Irish brands (beer, whiskey, gin, food products) Community or tourism engagement experience Social media or promotions experience
