Job Summary


We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to oversee the daily operations of a new and exciting pub concept.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in pub operations, restaurants, hospitality and culinary management, ensuring that our team delivers exceptional service and maintains high standards of safety and quality. This role requires effective team management skills, a passion for food production, and a commitment to creating a welcoming environment for both staff and guests.

Responsibilities



Lead and manage all aspects of the establishment, including operations, staff management, and customer service. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene in food preparation areas. Work with the head chef on culinary operations, including menu planning, and quality control to ensure exceptional dining experiences. Foster a positive work environment by providing guidance, support, and training to team members in hospitality practices. Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. Monitor financial performance, manage budgets, and implement cost control measures to achieve business targets. Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally to maintain a high level of service.

Qualifications



Proven experience in a managerial role within the hospitality or culinary industry, preferably in pubs, hotels or restaurants. Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations. Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead staff effectively. Experience in food preparation and production processes is highly desirable. Exceptional communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to continuous improvement in service delivery. Understanding of stock management systems. Able to delivery on targets set by senior management including people cost % and GP Margins. Personal License is required.
