for UK and EU brands. We're trusted by independent start-ups and established FMCG clients for our quality, flexibility and innovation.

We're entering an ambitious new phase: building a

UK market leader in co-packing and private label snacks and confectionery.

We're seeking a

commercially driven General Manager

who can own both

operations and growth

: leading production excellence and driving revenue through sales and marketing initiatives.

The Role

This is not a maintenance role - it's a build and grow role. You'll oversee the Loughborough facility, lead the production team, maintain compliance, and spearhead the commercial strategy that expands our client base, increases margins, and unlocks new market opportunities. You'll report to the Managing Director and act as the UK lead for all operations, business development and growth execution

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership:

Manage day-to-day factory operations (production, scheduling, staff, logistics)

Ensure SALSA and food safety compliance

Oversee quality control, order fulfilment, and cost efficiency

Maintain smooth communication and reporting with the MD

Sales & Marketing Growth

Own revenue generation:

identify, pitch, and convert new B2B co-packing clients

Build and manage inbound and outbound lead pipelines

Maintain and expand relationships with existing clients; drive repeat business

Develop pricing models, proposals, and quotes in coordination with the MD

Oversee marketing assets: website updates, email campaigns, social media presence, trade listings (e.g. BCMPA)

Represent Ace Packing trade shows and industry events

Track and report monthly growth KPIs (leads, conversions, new accounts, revenue)

Leadership & Culture

Lead, motivate, and retain a small production team

Foster accountability, communication, and pride in output

Identify and implement systems that reduce inefficiency and increase capacity

Who You Are

Proven experience in

FMCG, food manufacturing, or co-packing

Confident in

sales, business development, and account management

Excellent communication and leadership skills - able to inspire both factory teams and clients

Strategic think who's comfortable rolling up sleeves to execute

Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to work autonomously

Proficient in spreadsheets, CRMs, and digital tools (google Workspace, Notion, etc.)

Understand UK food safety regulations and the dynamics of B2B food service
