Duties
Lead and supervise all operational activities within the restaurant or hotel environment, ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning.
Oversee food preparation, cooking, and food production processes to maintain quality standards.
Manage team members, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health & safety standards across all departments.
Coordinate with kitchen staff to optimise food service delivery, including supervising culinary activities such as serving and barista operations where applicable.
Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Monitor inventory levels, manage procurement processes, and control costs effectively.
Handle customer complaints professionally and resolve issues promptly to uphold the establishment's reputation.
Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of quality ingredients and supplies.
Maintain a welcoming environment that promotes teamwork, hospitality, and excellent service.
Requirements
Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hotel setting, with strong team management skills.
Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, culinary arts, or food production.
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is essential.
Previous experience in hospitality management or as a restaurant manager is highly desirable.
Strong leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills.
Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills with a professional demeanour.
Experience in managing diverse teams including front-of-house staff such as servers and bartenders (barista experience is a plus).
