For our second brand THE REALM, we are seeking an experienced and dynamic
General Manager
to oversee the daily operations of our hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant and hospitality experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional service. This role involves managing a diverse team, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and driving overall business success. The successful applicant will have a background in food preparation, cooking, and supervising teams within a fast-paced environment, with a focus on culinary excellence and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage all aspects of restaurant or hotel operations, including food production, service, and customer relations.
Supervise and motivate staff, fostering a positive team environment while ensuring high standards of hospitality and service.
Oversee food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations across all departments.
Coordinate food preparation and cooking activities to ensure quality standards are met consistently.
Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as necessary to maintain smooth operations.
Develop and implement operational policies to optimise efficiency and customer experience.
Handle customer complaints or concerns promptly to maintain high levels of satisfaction.
Monitor financial performance, including budgeting and cost control measures.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure culinary excellence and adherence to menu specifications.
Support staff training programmes, including barista training or specialised culinary courses as needed.
Requirements
Proven supervising experience within the hospitality industry, ideally in restaurant or hotel settings.
Extensive restaurant experience with a strong understanding of food preparation, cooking, and food safety standards.
Demonstrable team management skills with the ability to lead diverse groups effectively.
Knowledge of food production processes and kitchen operations.
Experience in hospitality management roles such as restaurant manager or hotel manager is highly desirable.
Strong leadership qualities combined with excellent organisational skills.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
Relevant culinary or hospitality qualifications are advantageous but not essential if complemented by substantial practical experience.
