Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate General Manager to lead Daly's Bar. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff, maintaining high standards of service, and driving the bar's commercial performance. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong business acumen, people management skills, and a love for hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
Oversee day-to-day running of the bar, ensuring smooth and efficient operations
Monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage inventory
Maintain licensing requirements, health & safety, and hygiene standards
Staff Management
Recruit, train, and manage bar staff
Create rotas and manage payroll in collaboration with owners/accountants
Motivate and develop a high-performing team
Customer Experience
Ensure consistently high levels of customer service
Handle customer feedback professionally and resolve issues promptly
Uphold the reputation of Daly's as a welcoming and enjoyable venue
Financial & Commercial Oversight
Monitor budgets, costs, and revenues to ensure profitability
Manage cash handling and till systems
Identify opportunities to increase sales through promotions, events, and community engagement
Events & Marketing
Coordinate and promote live music nights, private functions, and special events
Work with local promoters and suppliers
Maintain a strong presence on social media platforms
Requirements
Proven experience in a similar management role within the hospitality industry
Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
A hands-on approach with the ability to work evenings and weekends
Knowledge of licensing laws and health & safety regulations
Financial awareness and the ability to manage budgets
Passion for customer service and community engagement
