As our head honcho, you'll be in charge of the day-to-day operations of Cherry Tree. We're looking for someone proactive, people-focused and calm under pressure. A natural leader who can bring out the best in their team, keep things organised and make sure every guest leaves happier than they arrived.

Essential skills and experience

Proven experience managing teams of five or more across varied roles. A confident, positive leadership style that builds engagement and a healthy team culture. Strong organisational and time-management skills, with a hands-on approach when needed. Experience managing budgets, rotas and cost control while maintaining excellent standards. Confidence managing guest experience from the front of house and ensuring service stays consistent. Ability to oversee multiple income streams including the campsite shop and sauna, identifying opportunities to grow sales in a thoughtful way. Knowledge of compliance and health and safety processes, with a commitment to keeping standards high. Willingness to roll up your sleeves and lead by example, including supporting the cleaning and maintenance teams when needed. Good problem-solving skills and the ability to influence and negotiate effectively. Competent with Google Drive and basic reporting tools, including payroll and updates for senior management. Flexibility with hours and a willingness to provide live-in, on-site support when required.

Desirable (but not essential)

Previous experience working at a campsite, in travel or tourism. Hospitality, bar or barista experience. Experience planning or delivering events and projects. An enthusiasm for the outdoors, good food and community-led experiences.

We believe in experiences, delivering peaceful and wild stays whilst providing show-stopping events with local provenance at the heart. Bringing the best of the South West to our 18-acre site. Caring for the wildlife we encourage to be here, the nature we are surrounded by and nurturing a team who live and breathe what we do.

We don't want to just provide an ordinary camping experience. We believe that, to bring the best audience to North Devon we need to curate a space that knits together all the elements needed to provide this.
