Job Description

North West School Hire is a respected and growing school lettings and facilities management company, working with schools across the North West. We're now hiring a General Manager to lead daily operations, manage staff, deliver marketing and support long term growth.

This is a leadership role with clear progression to Operations Director. The successful candidate will also provide on-call support during evenings and alternate weekends to help maintain excellent service across sites.

Key Responsibilities



- Lead and manage day-to-day lettings operations across multiple school sites

- Supervise and support part-time staff (recruitment, rotas, performance, conduct)

- Ensure safeguarding, health & safety and customer service protocols are upheld

- Manage incident response, risk assessments and operational escalation

- Oversee site scheduling, booking reports and income tracking

- Deliver local marketing (social media, vacancy promotion, school outreach)

- Provide reports and insights to the Managing Director

- On-call during evenings and alternate weekends for staff support and issue resolution

- Line manage the Shift Manager as the structure develops

Requirements



- Proven experience in operational, general or facilities management

- Strong team leadership, problem-solving and time management skills

- Familiarity with community venues, school lettings or service businesses

- Working knowledge of digital tools (rotas, spreadsheets, email, social media)

- Full UK driving license and vehicle access
