Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our busy town centre bar. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in running a busy pub/bar. This role requires string leadership skills to inspire and guide our team, ensuring that we deliver great customer service and maintain high standards.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage all aspects of the business, including staff supervision, budgeting, and operational efficiency. Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and improve service. Train, mentor, and evaluate staff performance to foster a positive work environment. Manage inventory levels Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback effectively to maintain a high level of service. Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events and special offers that drive business growth. Ensure guests have a comfortable stay in our rooms above the main bar.

Experience

Proven experience in a managerial role within the hospitality or restaurant industry is essential. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise a diverse team. Previous GM experience is required. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service excellence. A passion for the hospitality industry with a commitment to delivering high-quality experiences for guests. Hotel experience is preferred but not essential Knowledge of real ales and cocktail experience preferred.
