Role Overview:
As Manager, you will play a key role in launching and establishing The Yacht as one of Torquay's most sought-after venues. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and driven leader to shape the future of a brand-new venue, delivering exceptional service, managing a dynamic team, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management:
Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing front-of-house and bar team.
Inspire a culture of excellence, ensuring all staff provide outstanding service.
Lead by example and maintain high standards in all aspects of the operation.
Operations Management:
Oversee all elements of running a premium food and drink venue.
Ensure seamless service and a memorable customer experience.
Manage compliance with licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and food hygiene standards.
Customer Experience:
Build strong relationships with guests, fostering a welcoming and engaging atmosphere.
Respond to customer feedback, maintaining a reputation for excellence.
Financial Management:
Monitor budgets, stock control, and supplier relationships to maintain profitability.
Analyse sales data to drive revenue and implement strategic pricing.
Manage cash handling, payroll, and financial reporting.
Marketing & Promotions:
Develop innovative ways to attract guests and promote The Yacht'sunique offerings.
Work with the in-house distillery team to showcase bespoke spirits and cocktail creations.
Plan and execute events that celebrate global food flavours and craft drinks.
Requirements:
Experience in hospitality management, ideally within a premium venue.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
A passion for exceptional food and drink, with knowledge of cocktails, craft spirits, and cuisine.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
