We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Bar and Restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional service in a hospitality environment. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing staff, ensuring food safety, and maintaining high standards in both the kitchen and front-of-house operations. The General Manager will play a crucial role in creating an inviting atmosphere for guests while driving the success of our restaurant and hotel services.
Responsibilities
Supervise daily operations across all departments, including kitchen, bar, and front-of-house.
Lead and manage a diverse team, fostering a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and professional growth.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all areas.
Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring quality control and adherence to culinary standards.
Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to maintain efficient operations.
Develop and implement training programmes for staff in areas such as bartending, culinary skills, and customer service.
Handle guest inquiries and complaints promptly, ensuring customer satisfaction at all times.
Monitor financial performance and assist in budgeting to achieve operational goals.
Deliver new and exciting ideas and drive a new audience, through strong brand marketing and an exciting events program.
Requirements
Proven experience in a supervisory role within the hotel or restaurant industry.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
Experience in food preparation and kitchen management is essential.
Familiarity with bartending practices is advantageous.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong organisational skills.
