Job Overview


We are seeking an experienced and dynamic

General Manager

to oversee the daily operations of our hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant and hospitality experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional service. This role involves managing teams, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality culinary and customer service standards. The successful applicant will be responsible for driving operational excellence, fostering a positive work environment, and ensuring the overall success of the venue.

Responsibilities



Lead and supervise all restaurant or hotel operations, including food preparation, cooking, serving, and hospitality services. Oversee staff recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance management to ensure a motivated and efficient team. Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and quality control across all departments. Manage inventory levels, procurement processes, and cost controls to optimise profitability. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations as well as industry standards. Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction. Handle customer enquiries or complaints professionally to uphold the establishment's reputation. Coordinate with kitchen staff on food production, menu planning, and special event organisation. Monitor financial performance through budgeting, reporting, and analysing sales data to meet organisational goals.

Skills



Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment. Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff towards shared goals. Extensive restaurant experience including food preparation, cooking, serving, and kitchen operations. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production. Leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills to manage multiple departments effectively. Experience in hospitality settings such as hotels or bars is highly desirable. Competence in managing food costs, inventory control, and operational logistics. Excellent communication skills with a professional approach to customer service and staff relations.
