Job Description

We're looking for an experienced general manager with strong leadership skills to join our friendly team at Weymouth Pavilion, to help oversee the smooth day-to-day running of Weymouth Pavilion.

As General Manager you'll play a vital role in supporting the Operations Manager, managing a busy venue that delivers unforgettable experiences to our customers, from theatre shows and cinema to private events.

What You'll Be Doing:

As General Manager, you'll be at the heart of our operations, responsible for:

Leading the day-to-day running of the venue Overseeing all health & safety and compliance requirements Supporting and developing staff and volunteers through training and mentoring Bringing new ideas and strategies to improve operations and customer experience Handling cash and ensuring financial processes are followed Taking on Duty Manager shifts as part of a shared rota (including evenings and weekends)

What We're Looking For:

We're seeking a confident and organised individual with a proactive mindset and a collaborative approach. The ideal candidate will have:

Proven experience managing a busy hospitality or live events environment A sound understanding of Health & Safety regulations and current legislation High-level organisational and time management skills Strong communication and customer service skills Experience handling money and working under pressure The confidence to take initiative and drive improvements
Experience across multiple areas of hospitality is a strong advantage.

Hours: 42.5 hours per week including day shifts, evening and weekends
