The Chestfield Barn is an independent Pub/Restaurant who are looking for a new General Manager to lead the existing team. This person will monitor and oversee all daily operations at the venue and work closely with the Landlords to bring their visions to life.

Please Note - there is no live in accommodation available with this role.

Duties will include, but are not exhaustive of:

Overseeing all operations, effectively managing any issues that arise.

Orchestrating the team and managing them to provide excellent leadership.

Ordering, liaising with suppliers and negotiating best price where needed.

Doing all correspondence, such as emails and calls to ensure nothing is missed and all bookings are recorded.

Streamline and ensure upmost efficiency of existing procedures and introducing new ones where needed to ensure best service.

Stocktaking and inventory taking including GP.

Working to minimise all expenditure as well as working to enhance profits of the business.

Liaising with Head Chef daily and working together to ensure menus and service work to customers expectations.

Producing rota's, ensuring that no shift is left short and that all staff receive the hours they need in line with the business's needs.

Monitoring new starters and their training.

Overseeing on-boarding of new starters, working to decrease staff turnover.

Monitoring and tracking holidays/sickness.

Communicating and working with the Landlord's to make sure all of their idea's come into fruition in the best way possible.

Aiming to receive 5 Star reviews across social media and online platforms.

Building Social Media platforms and posting good-quality content daily.

Building local relationships with new and existing customers.

Doing all you can to increase footfall of the venue.

Organising and leading events, such as weddings and funerals.

Good knowledge of profit and losses.

To be successful in this role, you will be:

A personable, approachable and efficient individual with previous GM experience.

Knowledge and experience of improving existing policies and procedures.

A good team-player, who can work well with existing management team, including Head Chef and Landlords.

Previous experience in management is essential, we will consider different management positions across hospitality but proven management experience is imperative.

Pay: 576.00-600.00 per week
