Workstuff UK Ltd is a growing, independent supplier of high-quality embroidered corporate workwear and PPE. Based centrally in Leicester, we support a wide range of clients, from sole traders to national organisations, through our trade counter, warehouse, and growing online presence. With an excellent industry reputation and ambitious growth plans, we're now looking for a dynamic General Manager to lead and expand our operations and sales efforts.
About the Role
This is a pivotal leadership role, combining operational management and B2B sales. You'll oversee daily branch operations, drive sales growth, and manage a small, friendly team. You'll also act as a key relationship builder, promoting our product range and developing new business opportunities across industries like construction, manufacturing, logistics, and facilities management.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all day-to-day operations, including staff supervision, trade counter, office coordination and having P& L responsibilities.
Drive a sales-focused culture while meeting revenue and customer satisfaction targets
Proactively identify and engage new clients while nurturing relationships with existing accounts
Promote and sell our full range of workwear, PPE, and safety products. Look for new opportunities to develop the business.
Oversee purchasing, inventory management, and supplier relationships to ensure cost-effective sourcing
Project manage the tender process, ensuring proposals are competitive and commercially viable
Lead the newly implemented EPOS system to enhance weekly reports, KPIs, sales tracking and customer service
Analyse financial and operational data to inform strategic decisions and maximise profitability
Explore possibility to bring embroidery in house to speed up service to customers.
What We're Looking For
Proven experience in a similar general management or senior sales role
Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance operations and business development
Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
Self-motivated, with the energy and drive to lead a growing business
Good understanding of B2B sales processes, especially in sectors like construction / manufacturing industries.
Full UK Driving Licence is essential
Comfortable with using Microsoft Office and CRM/EPOS systems
