Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring efficient service and high-quality food production. Manage and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment through effective team management and leadership. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards throughout the kitchen and dining areas. Develop menus in collaboration with culinary staff, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Handle inventory management, including ordering supplies and controlling costs to maximise profitability. Train new employees on food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and serving standards. Address customer feedback promptly and professionally to enhance guest satisfaction. Collaborate with marketing teams to promote special events and menu offerings effectively. Monitor financial performance, preparing reports on sales trends and operational efficiency.

Experience

Proven experience in a managerial role within the hospitality or restaurant industry is essential. Strong culinary experience with knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods is highly desirable. Previous supervising experience is required, demonstrating effective team management skills. Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations is crucial for maintaining compliance. Experience in hotel or barista settings would be advantageous but not mandatory. A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences is essential for success in this role.
