The General Merchandising Trade Planning Specialist will be responsible for supporting the planning, delivery & communication of our customer planning activity.
You will work with the commercial teams to build a customer focused trade plan, driving sales and improving the promotional offers and variety for customers.
Ensuring that these promotions are clearly articulated to our colleagues and help to create clear guidance on how to implement the campaigns in store.
This is a 12 month fixed term contract, however lots of our permanent colleagues initially joined on contracts, we have a variety of opportunities at any time.
Our teams work from our vibrant head office in Bradford Monday to Friday, 3 days office based, 2 from home.

Some of your responsibilities will include:
Working directly with the commercial team to deliver promotional campaigns and nominations to enhance the customer plan, including events, stunning deals, pricing and brand
To collate, analyse and present accurate sales data and customer insight via our insight team to influence future decision making around the customer plan
To deliver a strengthened GM promo end & shipper plan, incorporating Newness, Seasonality, Events and Volume Support in order to drive incremental sales and improve the customer offer
Take a teamwork approach to verify and ensure accuracy of information to ensure it is fit to make critical business decisions, and can be used effectively by marketing
To champion the customer focus whilst challenging and reviewing commercial nominations to constantly improve the customer plan
Accountability and ownership of the promotional trade plan for General Merchandise categories
In depth knowledge and experience of the retail environment and ensuring compliance with Morrisons policies & procedures
Work to deliver & execute plans with retail to ensure all activities can be implemented by all stores, regardless of size and customer profile

Understanding of commercial and marketing functions
Experience of the commercial marketing sector, and ability to use specialist consumer reporting tools, such as Kantar
GSCOP compliance
Experience in a previous planning or organisational role
Ability to show experience of strong ownership of work
Experience in prioritising a demanding workload
Experience of retail environment and ensuring compliance with policies & procedures
Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
