General Operative
Aberdeen City Council
Salary 14.06 per hour plus commercial vehicle and fuel card
Full time - Permanent, 42.5hrs per week, Monday to Friday
About the Role:
We are looking for a General Operative to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside a team of ten other operatives. You will be responsible for carrying out high-quality general repairs, planned works, and refurbishments to housing properties, while delivering best-in-class customer service and meeting all safety, quality, and cost control standards.
Main duties:Carry out a range of repairs and refurbishment tasks to a high standard.
Deliver excellent customer service to tenants and residents.
Process all tasks electronically using a handheld device (PDA).
Maintain all company-supplied assets in good condition in line with company policies. Report any damages to your supervisor or Manager.
Manage materials effectively by using existing stock or collecting required items, following the company's purchasing and van stock control procedures.
Role Criteria:Experience working in social housing and council contracts
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Full UK driving licence
Candidates should be aware that all our roles are subject to relevant DBS/Security checks before commencement of employment.

To drive a Mears vehicle, you must be aged over 21 have held your licence over 3 months and have less than 9 points.
