As a Part Separation Team Member, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and precise separation of manufactured components, preparing them for subsequent assembly, inspection, or distribution. Working within an engineering environment, you will collaborate with production, quality control, and logistics teams to ensure components meet specifications and are handled safely and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
Component Handling:
Separate machined, moulded, or fabricated parts from raw materials, runners, or sprues using appropriate tools and techniques.
Quality Inspection:
Conduct visual and dimensional checks to ensure parts meet required tolerances and standards.
Process Adherence:
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions to maintain consistency in part separation.
Equipment Operation:
Operate cutting, trimming, or deburring tools safely and efficiently to achieve high-quality results.
Material Sorting:
Identify and sort parts by type, size, or production batch to streamline workflow.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the production, assembly, and quality teams to ensure smooth material flow.
Documentation:
Record production data, faults, or process deviations as required for tracking and continuous improvement.
Health and Safety:
Carry out duties at all times in a safe and responsible manner whilst conforming to current Health and Safety Regulations.
Ensure communications are maintained at the highest possible level with colleagues and keep Line Manager advised of impending situations which could develop into more serious problems.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong attention to detail and precision
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Hands-on experience with basic hand tools and separation equipment
Understanding of manufacturing and quality control processes
Good teamwork and communication skills
Ability to work efficiently under minimal supervision
Awareness of health and safety regulations in an engineering environment
Qualifications & Experience
Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment preferred
Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with production workflows
Experience with quality control or inspection processes is an advantage
Working Conditions
Workshop or factory-based environment
May require lifting and handling of materials
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
