This role is integral to the production of high quality kitchen products, ensuring they meet specification and high standards of workmanship in a fast paced, multi-product environment.
As part of the manufacturing team, it plays an key role in ensuring that the daily manufacturing plans are completed right first time, on time and in full, whilst maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and efficiency.
Whilst General Operatives may initially be allocated to a particular department, they are expected to be able to move tasks or to move to other departments as necessary and so may be expected to carry out the full range of duties listed to meet the needs of the business. This may involve a change in shift pattern.
What you'll be doing -
Assembly
Take pride through precision by assembling high-quality rigid units. You'll align fascias, apply quality control stickers, and wrap each unit with care, whilst making sure every product meets our high standards every step of the way.
Packing
The final stage of the production process. Whether working individually or as part of a team, you'll inspect product, place in boxes ensuring all necessary components are included, fold and apply labels, with accuracy.
Picking
Play a key role in preparing units for assembly by selecting the right panels in the right order. You'll check for defects, handle materials safely, and keep production running smoothly.
Paint Shop
Support with getting units assembly ready. You'll assist sprayers and machinists with prepping substrates ready to be painted, and pack freshly painted products, ensuring materials meet our high standards at every step. It's a fast-paced, hands-on area where attention to detail really comes through.
Applicants
must be willing to work as part of a team or alone, be able to follow instructions and possess the ability to work with accuracy and to deadlines to ensure high quality standards are met. The post holder will be numerate, with good communication skills (confident enough to raise and discuss issues with colleagues and management). The role involves a variety of manual handling tasks across a range of product sizes and weights. Applicants will be used to working in a fast-paced environment and previous experience in a similar role within the kitchen industry is advantageous. Additionally, applicants should have knowledge of Health & Safety, Fire Awareness and Environment issues associated with working with flammable materials.

Rotating: 06:00-14:00 Mon to Fri / 14:00-00:00 Mon to Thurs.
Regular: 07:30-16:00 Mon to Thurs, 07:30-13:30 Fri or 08:00-16:00 Mon to Fri
