An employment opportunity has arisen at a market leading abrasive manufacturers site based in Chesterfield.

Operating hydraulic press machinery or similar equipment.
Working to current product standards and tolerances.
Asset care duties and good housekeeping tasks.
Comply to strict Health and Safety standards.
Operating Folk lift trucks or static lifting equipment (Full training will be given).
Monitoring critical spares stock items and notifying line manager for re-order.
Training on other processes within the site for employee flexibility.

Hydraulic press machinery experience (But not essential).
2 years' experience within a similar manufacturing role.
Good attendance and punctuality.
Good communication skills at all levels.
Good housekeeping within a manufacturing environment.
Reporting to the Shop floor supervisor the person would be required to operate machinery in a timely manner and strive to achieve daily output targets. Maintain high quality control on all products being manufactured. The role would require flexibility from working on production machinery to housekeeping duties and assisting with improvement drives. Controlling stock levels of used components and notifying the supervisor for re-ordering items.
The position requires all aspects of the role to be carried out in accordance with the Health & Safety standards set on site and all tasks must be conducted in a safe manner.
37 Hours per week
Monday ~ Thursday 07:30 to 16:30
Friday 07:30 to 12:20
Company sick pay scheme of 13 weeks at full pay (after 2 years' service)
