Job Overview

Newarthill Medical Practice is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our team. We offer flexibility in scheduling sessions and a competitive pay package.

We are a welcoming, supportive, and friendly practice with around 3,100 patients. Our team includes one GP partner, one ANP, four administrative staff members, and a practice manager. We also benefit from additional support services such as Mental Health Nurse Support, Occupational Therapy, and NHS Pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct assessments and examinations for patients with chronic illnesses, provide treatment, advice, and coordinate additional care when needed. (A senior clinician will be available for guidance and supervision.) Interpret test results and recommend or prescribe appropriate treatment plans. Show a commitment to continuous learning and adaptability to new protocols, healthcare technologies, and best practices, with the ability to work independently. Maintain high standards of care, demonstrating empathy, respect, and professionalism with patients, families, and colleagues in line with NMC standards. Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure smooth, high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) qualification with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). Proven experience in a clinical setting, preferably within a primary care environment. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with patients. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and patient care processes. A commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement in nursing practice.
