Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Practice Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, working closely with doctors and other healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of our patients. This position requires a strong understanding of anatomy and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care in a clinical setting.

We are look for for 1 day a week on a Thursday

Duties

Conduct patient assessments and record medical histories Administer routine immunisations/Childhood immunisations Carry out smear tests Travel Clinic Assist in minor surgical procedures, wound care / ulcer care/Doppler Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the medical team Educate patients on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment plans Chronic Disease Management (Asthma/COPD/Diabetes/CVD) Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulations Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans Participate in health promotion activities within the community

Skills

Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology Excellent patient care skills, demonstrating empathy and understanding Effective communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Strong organisational skills with attention to detail Proficiency in using electronic health record systems Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
