Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to administer medications accurately. Experience in a GMS setting is highly desirable.

This is a fixed term position, covering maternity leave, commencing February 2026. There may be the opportunity for a permanent role for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

Provide patient counselling on medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient care and medication management. Conduct medication reviews and monitor patient outcomes to ensure efficacy and safety. Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and patient information in compliance with regulations. Educate patients and healthcare staff on new medications and treatment protocols. Participate in quality assurance activities to improve pharmacy services. Stay updated on advancements in pharmacotherapy and relevant clinical guidelines.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or equivalent qualification. Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). A strong background in patient care is essential. Proficient in medication administration techniques. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient interaction.
