Salary: GTA 24,796.00 + SEN allowance 1,529.00 pro rata, MSA is 24,413 pro rata

Grade: GTA SEN is Grade CD / SCP 3 (with additional SEN allowance), MSA is Grade AB / SCP 2

Contract: Fixed Term Appointment to 31/08/2026

Hours: 23.5 hrs GTA SEN, 2.5 hours MSA (30 min lunch duty on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday)

Weekend Working: N/A

Location: Knaresborough, North Yorkshire

Position General Teaching Assistant (SEN) within the EYFS Setting with Midday Supervisor duties. Wrap around cover when as required.

Relief cover for Breakfast Club may be occasionally required which would be paid as additional hours.

The Headteacher and Governing Body of Scotton Lingerfield Primary School are seeking to appoint a motivated and inspiring GTA (SEN) to join our small, friendly team. Under the direction of the class teacher, this post will be within the EYFS setting to support and improve access to
learning for a child with SEN. The role will involve 1:1 work as well as integrated support with the whole class. This would be on a fixed term basis, until 31st August 2026.

Has experience working with children, has sound knowledge of EYFS (in particular SEN children); Can work well as part of a team; Is able to use their initiative and work flexibly; Is positive and resilient; Is an excellent communicator, able to liaise successfully with children, colleagues and parents and understands the importance of confidentiality.
