Salary: 24,796 to 25,989 per annum, pro rata + SEND allowance (pro rata)

Grade: CD Points 3-6 (starting at 3)

Contract: Fixed Term until 31st August 2026

Hours: 16 hours per week, Term Time Only (Monday-Thursday, 11.30am-3:30pm)

Location: Carlton in Cleveland, Stokesley, North Yorkshire

Carlton & Faceby CE Primary School is a small and friendly rural school nestled in the beautiful North Yorkshire countryside. We are seeking a caring, committed and enthusiastic General Teaching Assistant (SEND) to join our team and provide dedicated support to a specific child in our school who has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).

Key Responsibilities:

o Provide 1:1 support tailored to the child's individual needs, as outlined in their EHCP.



o Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to implement strategies that promote engagement, learning and well-being.



o Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment that supports the child's social, emotional and academic development.



o Contribute to the wider life of the school as a valued member of our team.

We are looking for someone who:

o Has experience working with children with SEND, particularly in EYFS (desirable but not essential).



o Is patient, empathetic and passionate about supporting children with additional needs.



o Can work collaboratively and communicate effectively with staff, parents and external professionals.



o Is flexible, reliable and committed to making a positive difference.

As a Voluntary Aided Church of England school, we achieved a very positive inspection report from SIAMS in September 2024, the successful candidate would need to be committed to upholding our Christian ethos.

We have a robust Child Protection Policy and staff will receive training relevant to their role at induction and throughout their employment. This post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Proof of identity, qualifications, medical clearance and evidence of right to work in the UK will be checked.
