Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating forklifts and other heavy equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of materials throughout the facility. This role is crucial for maintaining smooth operations in our warehouse distribution processes.
Duties
Operate forklifts, Pallet Trucks, Electric Lift trucks to load and unload materials and products. Perform order picking and packing tasks. Handle heavy lifting and materials handling with care to prevent damage and ensure safety. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency. Support shipping and receiving processes by preparing orders for dispatch and verifying incoming shipments. General cleaning duties to existing Hire Equipment and Customer Stock equipment when these arrive in the warehouse.
Experience
Previous experience in warehouse distribution is preferred, with a focus on forklift operation. Familiarity with order picking processes, including experience as an order picker or in a similar role. Experience with materials handling techniques and safety protocols.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: 12.21-16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
