Job Description

John Watt and Son provide a lunch and service service Monday to Friday for this international firm at their site in Spadeadam.

All our food is freshly cooked and we are committed to the sourcing all produce from within 50 miles of the site.

Duties will include

Serving Customers Preparing food Washing up
Full training will be provided plus access to hygiene and health and sfaty qualifications.

The post is for 30 hours per week with the option to work extra covering holidays or events

The post enjoys 20 days holiday per annum plus the 8 bank holidays.

Summary

As a General Assistant, you will be an integral part of our kitchen team, responsible for supporting food preparation and ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Reporting to the Chef Manager , your core skills in serving and food safety will be essential in maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment. Your premium experience in restaurant settings, combined with relevant skills in time management and basic math, will enable you to assist in upselling menu items effectively. Qualifications

Strong serving skills and knowledge of food safety practices Experience in food preparation and working in a restaurant environment Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory Previous kitchen or culinary experience preferred Excellent time management abilities to ensure efficient service Upselling skills to enhance customer experience and increase sales
