Job Description

We are looking for a GEO / SEO specialist with a strong SEO background and a deep understanding of large language models (LLMs) like ChatGPT. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in an SEO agency and be eager to shape the future of search in an AI-driven landscape.

You will optimise content for AI-driven search experiences, analyse performance data, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop strategies to ensure brands remain discoverable and competitive in a world increasingly influenced by generative AI.

A crucial part of this role will involve thought leadership in the evolving field of generative engine optimisation. This includes writing articles and representing the marketing department in discussions about the future of AI-driven search optimisation to the wider Company stakeholders.

Essential Candidate Requirements:



5+ years experience working on SEO Deep understanding of LLMs and AI training Thorough understanding of structured data and HTML On-page and off-page SEO experience Bachelor's degree Native-level fluency of English (copy writing skills will be tested) Extreme attention to detail

Advantageous Candidate Requirements:



Marketing degree Ability to speak more than one Western / Northern European language

Key Responsibilities:



AI Optimization

Transform complex search behaviour, conversational AI trends, and client objectives into effective optimisation strategies. Utilise advanced machine learning techniques to develop and train generative AI models. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to process large datasets for model training. Research and implement cutting-edge algorithms and architectures for generative AI applications. Optimize model performance and scalability for real-time inference and deployment. Stay current with industry trends and advancements in generative AI technology to drive innovation. Experiment with different parameters and model configurations to improve generative AI model quality. Provide technical expertise and guidance to support the integration of generative AI solutions into various products and services.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

Conduct keyword research, competitive analysis, and SEO audits to identify opportunities for growth. Optimize on-page elements including titles, meta descriptions, headers, schema markup, and internal linking. Improve site architecture, crawlability, and indexation through technical SEO best practices. Work closely with content teams to develop SEO-aligned content strategies. Monitor algorithm updates and adjust strategy accordingly.
GEO / Local SEO Optimization

Manage and optimize Google Business Profile listings and other local directories. Ensure NAP (Name, Address, Phone) consistency across all platforms. Implement local keyword targeting and location-based content strategies. Optimize local landing pages to improve visibility in map packs and local search results. Track local search rankings and performance metrics across targeted regions.
Analytics & Reporting

Use tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, Google Business Profile Insights, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Moz to monitor performance. Produce regular reports on rankings, traffic, conversions, and campaign effectiveness. Provide insights and data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with development teams to implement technical SEO improvements. Coordinate with marketing, content, and design teams to support SEO initiatives. Ensure SEO and GEO strategies align with broader business goals. Supporting the Marketing Team with any ad-hoc support.

Role Specifics:



Location: Office Based - Poole.

Salary: 45,000 - 55,000 dependent on experience.

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 08:30 to 17:30. Friday 08:30 to 16:00 (total of 40 hours per week).

Holiday: 20 days pro-rata plus the Christmas Shutdown period and UK Bank Holidays.
