The Role:

Due to our continued growth and client demand, we have the opportunity for a self-motivated individual for the position of Geo-environmental Engineer working as part of our Ground Investigation team.

As Geo-environmental Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out desk studies, ground investigations, site monitoring and producing reports.

This is an opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a unique company. You will play your part in the wider team, by supporting our client-side project management consultancy and land remediation contracting sections.

Responsibilities:

Phase 1 desk studies including site visits. Phase 2 site investigations, including supervision of contractors, and sampling and logging of exploratory holes. Gas and groundwater monitoring. Validation of remedial measures. Factual report writing. Client liaison.

Requirements:

Degree in a relevant field such as geology, geography, environmental science, geophysics, or geochemistry. An additional higher degree may also be an advantage. 1-2 years' experience undertaking desk studies and site investigations. High motivation for this specific opportunity. Ability to work under own initiative while fully co-ordinating with line manager's requirements. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Excellent communication skills. Full UK driving licence.
