Person Specification:
Qualified Teacher Status (ECTs encouraged to apply)
Passionate, dedicated, and professional classroom practitioner
Relevant teaching qualification and strong pedagogical knowledge
Leadership potential with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
Deep enthusiasm for Geography and the ability to ignite this in students
Committed to professional development and departmental management
Experience in curriculum design, assessment, and leadership is desirable
Energy and drive to build on GCSE results and contribute to high-quality post-16 provision
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality teaching and learning across the department
Develop and implement an inspiring, forward-thinking curriculum
Support and mentor colleagues, fostering a culture of continuous professional development
Collaborate with senior leadership to drive school-wide academic success
Oversee extracurricular Geography activities such as clubs and field trips
Ensure departmental goals align with the school's vision and ethos
