Ground Technology Services (GTS) is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join our expanding team. We deliver a comprehensive range of site surveying, ground investigation, and laboratory testing services across the UK. Our office is in Attleborough, Norfolk. Key Responsibilities
Project & Contract Support
Assist the Geo-environmental Director in managing ground investigation contracts, ensuring all site works, monitoring, laboratory testing, and reporting are delivered safely, to the required quality, and within agreed timescales.
Maintain effective communication with clients throughout project delivery.
Site Works & Field Engineering
Oversee drilling, sampling, and in?situ testing activities, ensuring performance meets company standards for safety, quality, and efficiency.
Carry out soil and rock logging in accordance with BS5930, both on site and in the laboratory.
Support the coordination and supervision of field engineering activities to ensure high?quality investigative data is collected in line with good practice and project requirements.
Laboratory & Technical Support
Provide support to laboratory and construction validation testing activities during periods of high workload.
Reporting & Quality Assurance
Undertake first?stage checking and validation of factual and interpretative ground investigation reports.
Obtain sign?off for interpretative outputs from the Geo?environmental Director.
Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 3 years' post?graduate experience.
At least 3 years' experience in site investigation works and 2 years' experience in reporting.
Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
