About the Role

We are seeking a

site-based Geotechnical Engineer

to support and deliver

Phase II intrusive ground investigations

and associated

remediation and validation works

. This is a hands-on role suited to an engineer who enjoys working on live sites and taking ownership of investigation and remediation activities from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

Supervision and execution of

Phase II intrusive ground investigations

Management of ground investigation contractors and drilling teams Logging soils and rock in accordance with BS EN ISO standards Collection of soil, groundwater and gas samples Oversight of

remediation works

, including validation sampling and reporting Liaison with clients, contractors, laboratories, and regulators Ensuring works are carried out in line with health & safety requirements Preparation of factual and interpretative reports, including

remediation validation reports

Accurate site records, scheduling, and cost awareness

About You

Degree qualified in

Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geology, or a related discipline

Proven experience delivering

Phase II intrusive investigations

Practical experience with

remediation and validation works

Strong understanding of contaminated land guidance and ground investigation practices Comfortable working

site-based

, including travel as required Competent in soil and groundwater logging and sampling techniques Good communication and reporting skills CSCS card (or willingness to obtain) Full UK driving licence (essential)

Desirable

Experience working on brownfield or contaminated land projects Knowledge of UK regulatory framework (EA, local authorities) Progress toward Chartership (ICE, CIWEM, GeolSoc)
