Geotechnical / Geo-Environmental Consultant sought at a leading and innovative, Large Environmental Consultancy. This role is based in London.

Responsibilities

Planning and overseeing small to medium-scale projects, ensuring key milestones are met and client expectations are delivered. Organising and coordinating intrusive site investigations, environmental monitoring, and geotechnical assessments. Interpreting chemical and geotechnical testing results to assess risks and provide technical recommendations. Preparing clear, structured reports with practical recommendations for clients. Maintaining an understanding of geo-environmental and geotechnical legislation, standards, and best practices. Acting as a key point of contact for clients, suppliers, and internal teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations and best practices during all site and office-based activities. Supporting junior staff, providing guidance and knowledge-sharing to aid their professional growth.

Requirements

Relevant degree (Geo-Environmental, Geology, Earth Science, Civil Eng., or similar). Background in a similar role, ideally within a consultancy. Strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret geotechnical and environmental data. Excellent communication and report-writing skills. Project management background, including coordinating fieldwork and liaising with clients. Flexible to travel, occasionally working outside standard hours. A full UK driving licence.
