Job Description

Job Summary: Kiwa CMT is seeking an Geotechnical Site Technician to join our team. This role primarily involves on-site work at various construction projects, with some duties based in our Derby laboratory. You will be responsible for conducting high-quality testing services mainly around the Midlands, ensuring compliance with industry standards. About the role:
Carry out geotechnical site and laboratory testing Maintaining competency/authorisation for the necessary range of test procedures Ensure equipment is in current calibration and pre-test checks are completed Ensure that test equipment is checked regularly and functioning correctly, and that any failures, defects or damage is reported Use and maintain equipment with all due care and ensure that weekly checks are carried out Ensure that all necessary test information, results and QC data are recorded in the manner required by current procedures Maintain good site working practice at all times Willingness to help in lab when returning from site and basic sample preparation

Do you have what it takes?:
Technical background preferable Motivated and focussed, with a positive outlook/approach Be able to work with a varied workload Communication is key for this role; you will be able to make an impact and work well within a team Hold a full UK driving licence Experience in a simiar role (desirable) Holds CSCS card (desirable)

What can you expect from us in return?:

25,389.00

per annum

38.75 hours per week

- Monday to Friday, primarily site-based with some work at the Derby laboratory. Opportunity for paid overtime, with occasional weekend work required
