Based out of our Bristol office, this role covers site work across the south of England, South Wales and occassionally traveling UK wide.
Weekday staying away will be required at times.
Salary:
26,000 starting, increases depending on experience + Overtime.
Structural Soils, a member of RSK Group Ltd, is a 250-strong site investigation contractor are looking to recruit a replacement Site Technician to carry out geotechnical site testing, validation sampling, gas and groundwater monitoring and related activities on sites located predominantly in the southern part of the county. The successful candidate will need to be happy to spend the majority of their time on site, and travelling to, from or between sites around the South of England. Early starts and/or overnight stays away may be required. Ideally you will have previous site experience and good communication skills. A full UK driving licence is essential.

In addition, we are particularly proud of the work that we have undertaken in the nuclear sector, where over the last 3 years we have undertaken preliminary and main/intermediate phase site investigations at Hinckley Point and Wylfa on Anglesey. Site Testing Technician - Hiring In - Bristol / Surrounding areas
Duties will include:
In-situ testing
Soil validation sampling
Maintaining testing and sampling equipment
Assisting with related site operations including collections and deliveries
Liaising with Clients, other contractors and members of the public on site.
Organising and carrying out their work in an efficient and timely manner
Desired experience:
Previous experience of site work, and/or work in a technical field an advantage
Good written and communication skills
Basic level of communication
A minimum of GCSE grade C in Maths, English and Science
Prepared to work as part of a team or as an individual
Full, clean driving licence essential, towing licence an advantage
