Description

The Department of Medicine at Highland Hospital is seeking an academic primary care physician to join our varied and multidisciplinary group of outpatient providers. Our practice is a collaborative group of general internists, geriatricians, and other subspecialists. We are seeking a geriatrician or internist and would be able to tailor the patient population based on the applicant's expertise.


This faculty physician will provide outpatient primary care to a panel of patients and participate in resident and fellow supervision, education, and evaluation. There are options to admit, consult, and follow patients admitted to the hospital, but this is based on the applicant's preference and not required.


This position affords a rare opportunity to practice primary care medicine, participate in education, and interact with a broad variety of subspecialties and ancillary support staff.

Qualifications

M.D. Degree or equivalent



Must obtain a New York State Medical License prior to the start date



Eligible for a Faculty Appointment at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry



Must meet all credentialing requirements



Eligible for Board Certification in Internal Medicine



Post offer Drug Screen and Health Assessment required



Compliance with University and New York State health requirements
