You may be interested in joining us in Getting Help Services as the Lead Clinician as part of the Children and Young People's Mental Health service in Buckinghamshire.



You would be joining Bucks CAMHS at an exciting time as we are embarking on an improvement journey to re-shape our Getting Help Services to operate in a way more aligned to iThrive.



You will be involved in clinically supporting all 3 of these service areas that make up Getting Help, which provides great variety to this role. You will work across a large pathway offering plenty of opportunity to use higher-level skills including supervision, consultancy and leadership. You will use your strong clinical leadership skills to provide oversight for a significant number of trainees these teams employ and allowing you to shape and grow this developing workforce.

Conduct highly specialist psychological assessments using a variety of methods, including psychological and neuropsychological tests, self-report measures, and structured interviews



Implement and evaluate a range of psychological interventions for individuals, carers, families, and groups, adjusting and refining formulations as necessary



Provide clinical placements, supervision, and training for trainee and recently qualified clinical/counselling psychologists and CBT therapists



Undertake risk assessment and management for individual clients, providing advice to other professionals on psychological aspects of risk



Lead the development of psychological interventions, including digital technology, and contribute to policy and service development within the team

We are delighted to be able to offer a new opportunity in Buckinghamshire CAMHS. This role is a chance to be at the forefront of our new way of working in our Getting Help Services, ensuring that services receive the clinical oversight and professional development of staff required to deliver safe and effective care.



This role involves the post holder working across our current Mental Health Support Teams and Targeted Services (low intensity), and High Intensity CBT clinicians. You will be required to work closely alongside the Service Manager and Operational Leads (Team Managers) for these services.



The post holder will be key to the service embedding the changes and ensuring, alongside our Service Manager and Operational Leads, that consistent and good quality care is given during the transition period and beyond.
