Location: Thorpe Park, KT16 8PN
Hours: Full Time, 5 days per week & Part Time, 2 days per week
Pay: \xc2\xa311.42ph



What will I do?

Our Ghost Train Team Leaders will support the Entertainments department in supervising and driving the running and standards of the Ghost Train including; Day to day managing, operationally driving standards, and consistently motivating the Performers towards delivering compelling Entertainment whilst in the Ghost Train. Ghost Train Team Leaders will be required to effectively manage a team, ensuring their conduct, resilience to working environment and role performance align with the department standards and that health & safety procedures are always followed.

  • Demonstrate a clear commitment to achieving high standards of customer service. Focus on the needs of guests as a priority and acts to ensure they are always met, doing so by motivating and driving the standards of the team and product.
  • Promotes positive working relationships with other internal stakeholders, ensuring that Entertainments is supporting/being supported where the Ghost Train and wider resort requires.
  • To support the wider Entertainments team operation where necessary, with scope to cover daily duties including department duty management.
  • Supervise the Ghost Train offering ensuring that the guest experience is of the highest quality, working closely with the Engineering, and Rides teams to ensure all facilities and functions within the venue are correctly operating such as lighting, sounds, Microphones, and effects.
  • To ensure the day-to-day Ghost Train operation is running efficiently through appropriate allocation of resources and driving of department and Resort standards.
  • To ensure the presentation of the Ghost Train is maintained to a professional standard in respect of actor areas, litter, and overall image.
  • Ensure that the development and potential of employees is nurtured through catch ups, training, reviews and professional development plans.
  • Hold daily motivating and informative briefings, warm-ups and attend team meetings.
  • Abide to all Resort Health & Safety standards and champion them for the Entertainments department on a day-to-day basis.
  • To attend, where possible, training courses to further personal development.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude towards change and actively manage difficult situations, changes or challenges without conflict.
  • To take accountability for the conduct and role performance of the Ghost Train team within the Entertainments department.
Qualifications & Experience:
An Ideal candidate will:
  • Have strong communication and time management skills.
  • Have experience in people managing.
  • Have strong operational knowledge.
  • Have duty manager/relevant experience.
  • Have an awareness of theme park daily operation and the Entertainments industry.
  • Have fully flexible availability.
