Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and professional Gift Shop Manager to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, managing sales transactions, and ensuring the shop maintains an inviting and organised environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a keen eye for merchandising, and the ability to work effectively within a small team. Previous management or supervisory experience is advantageous.

There is the possibility this role can be split to two part time positions.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist with their purchases in a courteous manner Operate the till efficiently, handling cash, card payments, and receipts Maintain the organisation and visual presentation of merchandised displays Restock shelves and organise stock to ensure attractive and accessible displays Provide product information and answer customer queries confidently Manage inventory levels and assist with stocktaking activities Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the shop area Support management with administrative tasks such as record keeping and reporting as required Supervise other members of staff when necessary, demonstrating leadership and organisational skills

Experience

Previous experience in retail management or sales management is desirable Supervising or team management experience will be highly regarded Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment Excellent communication skills, including customer service proficiency Knowledge of merchandising principles and inventory control techniques Administrative experience relevant to retail operations is advantageous Proven time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently and meet deadlines

Pay: 13.00 per hour
