Job Summary
IIC Technologies is a global provider of Geospatial solutions and services, supporting governments worldwide through the provision of a wide range of specialist services. This includes the supply of mapping and charting products for situational awareness and to aid decision-making both on land and at sea. As part of our team you will work on a GIS Data Capture project which will involve some of the following:
GIS Digitisation using ArcGIS, Caris Base Editor, QGIS or other GIS software.
Interpretation of Satellite Imagery, aerial photography, bathymetric survey data, electronic navigational charts or other source imagery and data.
Preparing and analysing incoming source data.
Handling and interpretation of confidential information.
Creation and update of digital map databases and products.
Carrying out tasks required of the project, within the time restraints and to specification.
Providing information on project/task status to your line manager, and completion of timesheets/MIS software, as required.
General duties required by the project, including packaging, upload and dispatch of products.
Participating fully in any training offered to ensure that knowledge remains current and relevant.
We are looking to expand our current team and are ideally looking for candidates who can start within 4 weeks.

Experience
A relevant degree qualification e.g. GIS, remote sensing.
Have experience in using GIS Software e.g. ArcGIS, QGIS, Caris, and data management.
Experience with various technology methodologies and applications.
Knowledge of modern cartographic standards and principles and experience of working with different coordinate systems, map projections, and datums.
Ability to work with vector and raster datasets.
Programming experience e.g. Python or other GIS scripting language, would be an advantage.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to independently manage multiple assignments, determine and set job task priorities, and work with limited direct supervision.
