Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and efficient glass collector/kitchen porter to join our fun and friendly bar team.

The successful candidate will play an essential role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our venue and kitchen, with focus on ensuring the venue is clean and tidy and kitchen is prepped to the highest standards.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining experience within the food service and hospitality industry.

The role is a temporary position until 1st January 2026, with set shifts on friday 6-10pm and Saturday 6-10pm. This role is best suited to someone 16-18 looking to gain some work experience.

Duties

Wash, clean, and sanitise dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to ensure compliance with health and safety standards. Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling vegetables or preparing ingredients under supervision. Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas throughout the shift. Support the organisation of stock by storing supplies correctly and notifying management of low stock levels. Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure recycling procedures are followed. Assist in setting up areas before service and clearing away after customers have left. Support other team members as needed to ensure efficient businessoperations.

Skills

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is advantageous but not essential; willingness to learn is key. Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail in maintaining cleanliness standards. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment - our venue can be very loud and very busy, ability to handle this is key! Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team.

Contract length: 3 months

Pay: 9.00-12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 8 per week
