Glass Sales Advisor

RESPONSIBLE TO:

Branch Manager

HOURS:

During Mon-Fri Between 0800-1700 - 42.5 hours per week

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE:



As a Glass Sales Advisor, you will play a vital role in converting glass sales and delivering outstanding customer service. You will be responsible for quoting customers on the best glass solutions for their needs. You will manage customer inquiries throughout the entire process, from initial enquiry and negotiation to order completion. Additionally, you will serve as the first point of contact for all inquiries into Camel, directing customers to the appropriate team as needed. Strong communication and commitment to providing an exceptional customer experience as essential to this role.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITES:



Tier 2 Competencies



Manage inbound and outbound communication effectively, including calls and emails, ensuring they are redirected to the appropriate departments promptly. Develop in-depth knowledge of double-glazed units and processed glass, including their applications and technical specifications, with the ability to accurately quote and convert enquiries into orders. A basic understanding of all glazing applications and systems. Placing orders with suppliers for glazing products, with a high standard of attention to detail to ensure order processing and order completion. Communicating delivery times and order status changes with customers in a timely manner. Identify and address non-conformances with suppliers, coordinating the procurement of replacement items as necessary Proficient use of company and supplier quoting, ordering and administrative systems. Review and verify order confirmations received from suppliers to ensure accuracy. Raising purchase orders, posting invoices, posting delivery notes and any other administrative duties appropriate to the role as required. Collaborate with warehouse staff to organise and facilitate customer pickups and deliveries. Coordinate tasks effectively, assessing priorities to address competing demands within the business. Promote the company in a positive manner at all times with a friendly, positive, customer focused attitude. Demonstrate commercial awareness in situations involving discrepancies, order checking, and decision-making during negotiations.

Tier 3 Competencies



Develop comprehensive knowledge of all glazing applications, including their technical specifications, with the capability to accurately quote and process these items into orders. Make glass deductions for glazing hardware and prepare drawings for customer approval Establish and maintain strong relationships with key account customers, serving as a primary point of contact for all role-related inquiries. Have a working knowledge of all sales products being able to show customers the different options around the showroom. Have a working knowledge of regulatory requirements within the fenestration industry. Coordinate and schedule warranty service calls, ensuring clear communication with both customers and team members. Create accurate quotes for windows and doors using company-specific software systems. Acquire a broad understanding of all administrative roles to provide support and cover as needed.

KEY SKILLS



Excellent communication and customer service skills. Working knowledge of IT systems including Microsoft Outlook and Word. Manages time effectively so as to accomplish tasks efficiently. Attention to detail and ability to multi-task. Remains focused, productive and maintains quality of work during busy periods. Be a confident communicator displaying a friendly, positive attitude at all times.
