About the business unit





The Energy unit delivers services to clients globally across several sectors including hydropower, nuclear, waste, renewable generation and transmission & distribution networks. Together we provide integrated engineering and project management services across the project lifecycle - from concept and design to construction and operations, to decommissioning or repowering and life extension. Together with our clients, we're helping to deliver the energy transition globally.

Overview of role





This role will play a key role within the Transmission & Distribution team, working on major projects across the UK.



Assist in the delivery of projects ranging from planning to construction stage Have thorough knowledge of Autodesk Revit to support the design engineers in delivering buildings projects to our clients. Undertake modelling, drawing, and detailing of all elements of HV equipment and cable systems. Produce high quality and complex 3D models and drawings using Autodesk Revit Incorporate, manipulate, and interrogate 3D point cloud data. Produce electrical layouts and schematics for equipment / cables / earthing and common electrical elements within context of substations. Work within common data environments in accordance with BIM Execution Plans. Liaison with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate issue resolution.

Candidate Specification



Preferred Skills and Experience





Experience of the high voltage substation engineering sector. Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit. Ability to produce 2D drawings and 3D models with minimal supervision Strong interest in 3D design, modelling and creating immersive models. Experience in typical electrical arrangement and connections. Enthusiasm to learn new skills and embrace new technologies and software. Able to effectively manage workload in a busy and dynamic environment. Willing to take ownership of issues and work autonomously to find solutions. Mentor and develop junior staff.

Ideal but not essential, you may have





Supplementary experience in Autodesk toolsets. Primarily Navisworks, Civil 3D, ACC Experience of working to UK sector standards and processes. Familiarity with working to industry modelling standards EngTech TMICE or similar
