BBVA Corporate & Investment Banking division is looking for a Senior Global Banker with 15+ years working experience with large corporate/institutional clients in the European Commercial Real Estate sector.
It is key to demonstrate strong client relationships at CFO level. Main focus will be to help implement the Real Estate plan in Europe, onboarding and establishing new client relationships in the sector in different geographies (UK, France, Belgium, Germany, Italy...), driving origination of new business opportunities and ensuring bank profitability targets can be achieved.
The candidate must have previous experience cross-selling products (DCM, cash management, risk management solutions...) and experience in structured lending solutions will be highly valued.
About the job:
The Global relationship Banker is responsible for business development and relationship management activities with clients, with emphasis on originating business and generating cross selling opportunities based on BBVA's product capabilities, global network and footprint.
Works closely with the Risk Management Group, and product partners from Structured Finance, Corporate & Syndicated Lending, Advisory, Global Markets and Transactional banking to facilitate overall client relationship management and cross selling.
Collaborate with the Industry Head of Infrastructure & Construction in defining the strategy, business plan and budget for the Real Estate sector in Europe.
Build "from scratch" a client portfolio within the sector in the UK and Continental Europe, focus on onboarding of clients undertaking all required steps to do so.
Manage client portfolio, being directly responsible for providing specialized client coverage and maintaining a close interaction with the clients at management levels. Act as a link between BBVA and the client.
Generate and oversee recurrent income from clients in order to meet the revenue targets and originate proactively new business opportunities jointly with the CIB product units. Focus on understanding clients' investment needs and strategic decisions.
Offer a comprehensive market and financial advisory service to the clients, delivering tailored investment banking ideas and recommendations. Focus on increasing revenues through investment banking transactions and cross-selling with the clients' portfolio.
Monitor clients' activity and profitability through in-house client management tools and data sources.
Work with the Risk teams and Bank committees as needed in order to manage transactions, extend new credit lines / maintain BBVAs financial exposure / limits for a particular client. Present transaction proposals to the Risk unit together with the CIB product units
Oversee the deal execution, assisting the CIB product units in the communication with the clients and other BBVA internal units to solve problems or bottlenecks. Collaborate with the CIB product units and Legal when negotiating transaction terms, legal documentation and contracts.
Represent BBVA in industry forums and high-level client engagements, positioning the bank as a trusted advisor.
Lead and mentor junior team members, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.
